Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Forte Kochi, I found myself captivated not just by the historical charm of the property, but also by its exceptional dining experience. The hotel's restaurant offers a delightful array of culinary options that beautifully reflect the rich cultural tapestry of Fort Kochi. The menu featured authentic local Kerala flavours alongside pan-Indian and pan-European fare. My personal highlight was the karimeen fish, expertly roasted in banana leaf and infused with fragrant turmeric and spices - an experience that truly encapsulated the essence of Kerala's culinary tradition. Each bite transported me deeper into the local culture, proving that the hotel's commitment to authenticity runs deep. The restaurant itself is inviting, with a warm ambiance that feels like an extension of the stunning hotel decor. Breakfast was a treat too, with an à la carte spread that demanded recognition for its quality. In every interaction with the staff - from those who brought my meal to the manager who shared insights about the history of the hotel - I felt the true spirit of Indian hospitality. An altogether enriching stay, I look forward to returning to sample more of the exceptional menu offerings.
